How I have changed, and how I’ve stayed the same
I heard a rumor that axolotls never grow up…
EXCUSE ME…I beg to differ! I have most certainly grown. I mean, see for yourself…
When I arrived at my new home, I lived in a plastic tub for several days, can you believe it? SO rude!
Even worse, every day I had to leave the tub and move into a new one that was just the exact same. That made no sense! I did not like this one bit.
But one day, I was taken out of the tub (as usual) and I started rolling my eyes (as usual!) when something different happened…this wasn’t the same tub…there was a lot more room… I panicked a little…did I just shrink!?
As it turned out, this was my real new home. I didn’t have to move daily anymore! and best of all, it was so big and fancy! with plants and rocks, and stuff to hide within!
I wondered why I had needed to wait for it? But no matter, I was ready to explore!
This is the life…so chill and relaxing!
Oh, and did I mention there’s also a hammock? Yep, a HAMMOCK!
How cool is that?! (hint: very!)
So…what about that rumor then? I don’t know about you, but I personally (or OK, “axolotly”) think there’s been a lot of change and growth since I got to my new home. So, I’m still wondering what that’s all about…
I heard it has something to do with the things that didn’t quite change. I wonder what that means!
I’ll be back soon to explore that mystery together. For now, that hammock is really calling me…time for some shuteye! Oh wait. that’s not quite right, let me try it again: time to go to sleep with my eyes open (yep…I do that!).
